About this Panelists/Speakers
Currently, I am a AAAS Science & Technology Policy Fellow (STPF) placed at the National Science Foundation to work in communications. My team prepares "Science & Engineering Indicators (SEI)", a congressionally-mandated report on the science and engineering enterprise in the US (education, workforce, R&D, innovation, public attitudes). In my role, I liaise with the National Science Board Office to create communications based for SEI, and I evaluate the report's impact using media and academic citations and web analytics.
I also serve as an associate editor for the Journal of Science Policy and Governance, as well as the Executive Producer of the STPF podcast, "Sci on the Fly".
Previously, I conducted research in the cognitive neuroscience on visual memory and how it changed with aging, dementia, and different states of awareness. I also have experience in teaching and community outreach.
